The Ignored Advice

 

Once upon a time there lived a widow with her children in a small village. Her husband passed away a few months ago. Her children had a bad habit. They are very spoiled and egoist, although  they were not kids anymore. Their request should have been completed  and it also can not delay. It makes the widow always sad and struggled because she have to complete her children’s request correctly.

One day the widow wanted to go to a celebration in another village, but her children forbade her. Her children said that they didn’t wanted to stay at home and they wanted to join in the celebration. Finally, she allowed them to go with her.  Actually she was uncomfortable with her neighbor and other guests because her children were not kids anymore. After they arrived at the celebration place, she said to her children :

“My dear, don’t go away from here, because this place is near the forest, so it is very dangerous for you.”

Her children not answer their mother’s advice and they still joke and ate the food. Then she repeated her advice :

“Please listen to me, don’t go away from this place.”
Then her children just answered  “Yes.”

After a few minutes, the children felt so bored. Then they went to walk around to the another place. They didn’t realize that they had broken the advice from their mother. They arrived in the forest and they stopped in the river bank. At the time they also felt so hot, so tired, and so thirsty. So, they decided to plunge to the river.
After the celebration finished, she looking for her children, but she did not find them although she had looking for everywhere. Finally, she went to home with despair and sadness face. At the evening, before she went to bed, she cried and prayed to God so that she can  find her children soon. While she was asleep, she dreamt that she met with her husband, and her husband said :

“Our children are in the river at the forest, please went to see them.”

The next day the widow went to the river that told by her husband in a dream. On the river she didn’t find her children, but she heard the voice:

“Mom, mom, mom.”

She heard it for many times, so she looked for the source of voice, but she still not find her children. The voice still heard by her, and finally she shocked when she knew that the source of the voice was from two fish in the river. Then both fish said:

“We are your children mom. We were sorry because we didn’t listen to your advice.”

The widow cried when she knew that her children had been became the fish. Then she came to the river bank, and she said:

“My lovely children, I always apologize your mistakes. It is the destiny from our God, we must received sincerely.”

Then she gave them food and took conversation with her children. After the day, every day she always went to the river to meet her children. She also always brought the food for them. She tried to received the destiny sincerely although she always felt so lonely and so sad.
